Chicken in a Pot
3 pound chicken, whole or cut up
2 carrots, peeled and sliced
1 onion, diced
2 celery stalks with leaves, diced
2 tsp salt
1 cup chicken broth or 1 cup water with 2 bullion cubes(chicken flavor)
1/4 tsp Basil
1/4 tsp Sage
1/2 tsp Thyme
Place carrots, onions, and celery, in crock pot. Add chicken, and over
it, sprinkle salt, pepper, basil, sage and thyme. Then pour the liquid
over it. Cover pot, and cook on low, 7-8 hours, or High 2 1/2 - 3 1/2
hours.
