Crockpot Cranberry Chicken

1 cut up chicken
3/4 Cup. onions, chopped
1 Cup Cranberries (fresh)
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp grated orange rind
1 Cup orange juice
3 Tbsp melted butter
3 Tbsp flour
3 Tbsp Brown Sugar

Remove chicken skin. Place in the crockpot with onion, cranberries, salt, cinnamon, ginger, orange rind and orange juice. Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours. Remove chicken from pot and separate meat from bone, set aside. Melt butter in a skillet, add flour and cook into a roux. Stir into liquid in crockpot to thicken. Add chicken and brown sugar, stir to combine.
