Lemon Drop Ice Cream

2 cups sugar
4 tsp finely grated lemon peel
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
3 cups evaporated milk
4 drops yellow food coloring
1 cups crushed lemon drop candy

Mix all the ingredients together. Churn freeze. Makes 1/2 gallon.
