Pork Chops with Orange Soy Sauce
1 cup fresh orange juice
1 Tbsp reduced sodium soy sauce
2 cloves minced garlic
1/2 tsp thyme leaves
4 4 oz bone in pork chops, trimmed of fat
Salt/pepper to taste
1/2 Tbsp canola oil
Preheat oven 400°F
Combine orange juice, soy sauce, garlic and thyme. Set aside.
Season chops with salt/pepper. In a large ovenproof skillet, heat oil over high heat. Add chops and sear until browned. 1-2 min per side.
Transfer skillet to oven and bake until just a trace of pink remains in the center, about 5 minutes. Transfer chops to a plate and keep warm.
Add reserved orange-soy mixture to the skillet; cook over high heat until sauce is reduced by half, 3-5 min. Add pork chops and any juices that have accumulated on the plate; heat through. Turning to coat.
