Champ!
This is a pretty recent photo of me sporting medals I'd just won at the "Rumble in Nuevo Laredo" open martial arts tournament. I don't really like open tournaments, but my instructor wanted us to compete to show support for our local colleagues. I won first place in empty hand forms with the changquan compulsory, and first place in weapons forms doing an individual broadsword routine.

This is my mom! She loves to relax from a hard day at the office with a little taiji! Here she is with my friend and mentor Franti Canales (you should see him do Changquan. WOW!).
