MY STAY IN CANADA

I would like to share with you some of the wonderful times I had in Canada during my stay there. I spent part of autumn, all of winter, and part of the spring there. It was very beautiful there. The air was so fresh and clean. We spent a lot of time in the mountains going for walks and drives. I saw lots of different wildlife while I was there. There were herds of deer and elk everywhere. Once we saw a moose and a wolf. We saw mountain goats and coyotes too. I was scared of the coyotes. My friend said they liked me because it seemed like they always came down the road when we would be sitting down enjoying the view. :) Once we went to Banff which is a very beautiful place to visit. We went in the gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain. The view there is fantastic. Words cannot describe how beautiful it is. You can see for miles around. I was scared the first time I went in the gondola. :) Going up was the worst. Coming down wasn't so bad. While we were in line to go back down in the gondola, there was a little chipmunk that was trying to get food from people. It was so cute. I took a picture of it but unfortunately, it didnt come out. :( One Sunday we went to the Olympic Park where the Winter Olympics were held in 1988. They were having competition that day. It was really cool getting to see it. I nearly froze that day. One time during the winter, we had 2 1/2 feet of snow at one time. The car was completely covered in snow. There was a lot of shoveling to do before we could go anywhere. I remember one time we went to the grocery store and when I came out, it felt like walking into a deep freeze. The temperature was -25 C. I saw more snow last winter than I have ever seen in my life. It was so beautiful. The drives up in the mountains were wonderful too. We went for a lot of walks up there, down by the river and on trails. Sometimes we would have picnics up there too. The river is so beautiful there. The water is cold and clear. I learned how to skip rocks and flick dandelions. It was a lot of fun.

I have some pictures that I would like to share with you and some links to some of the places we went while I was there. I also have links to other places of interest.
