Disi the Cat
2000 - 2009

We lost our beloved Disi October 24, 2009 at the early age of 9 3/4 years of age to - yet again - cardiomyopathy. She was diagnosed in June and given one month, but due to the close medical attention we gave her, she lived a good life to the very end. She suddenly became paralyzed Friday night due to thrombolism (clot). We let her go Saturday morning, holding and petting her through the entire short process while our dear vet, Dr. Scott Lumpee, administered the 'freedom' drug.

She was from the local animal pound. I rescued her after I lost 3 of our 4 Danes and the one remaining Dane, Meisel, was mourning our losses. It was too quiet here. Disi came right up to me when I went looking for a kitty. She had been a wonderful addition, teaching the dogs to leave cats alone, riding in the car and taking all trips with us right along with the dogs. She was very much like a dog, following me wherever I go.

Disi is going to be missed very much here. I keep excepting her to come hop up into my lap for a snuggle or I think I see her walking to her favorite window. Sweet dreams, Disi. All of our previous dogs are waiting to greet you at the Rainbow Bridge. We will join you soon enough and all will be well again.
