Hi, the photo of Kelly was taken about one month before she was
diagnosed with Graves' disease. She had been visiting friends in Little Rock
Ark. at the time the photo was made. You will notice Kelly looks pretty slim
in the picture.Kelly thought her eyes looked large because she was so slim,
she had no idea they looked large because she had Graves' disease. Kelly found
out later that eye protrusion can be one of the symptoms of the thyroid condition
known as Graves' disease.
In August of 1999, Kelly had eye surgery to correct the eye lid retraction
problem. Her eyes are doing great now and in September I will be adding a page
to this web site with updated photos of Kelly.

The quality of the photo isn't the greatest, but I kept having problems with the scanner the day the photo was scanned. I am happy to report the scanner and scanner programs are all working properly now, so future photos will be less grainy looking.
