was formed early 93 in istanbul as a anarchopunk band.it's one of the former
of turkish punk movement(like others: cmuk ,tampon,lsd,dead army boots...)
and after playin' along time in the basement they record and released a
demo tape called"ugh!em'all" .this tape's bad quality,screamin,noisy
and not-well known and also really political 17
songs,so there're so arguments between underground people in turkey some
of them like these stuff couse of non-energic,chaotic,purepunk and it's
%100 d.i.y but the other radical and popularist zines and bands just
say it's a failure,it's no musical ,they cant play anyway...etc.but rashit
attacked in 1994 with its secondento demo tape whick is called Kangren(cangreen)
and they give them the boot with their own ideal lyrics and began a gun
against the popularists(and a tread of local MTV punx Athena-what a band
name anyway?!#,so they named"turkish punkesta" by oldest and finest anarcho
punk zine disguast(they're disgust now).After a short time they played
everywhere in istanbul and other cities.between 94-95 as know as turkish
punk lifes golden years,they made a d.i.y tape label called "telasa mahal
yok"(dont hurry up,everything is ok!)they released a compilation tape(like
bands tampon,regorge,dispute,novaya lemliya)and it sold out more than 1000(it's
good for a tape recorded on bad quality recorders)and now it's turkish
punk classic! after booking more than 100 concerts in a year and 3 festivals,in
95 they released their first well recorded tape(they released as raso tape
just 100 copies in 1995 and as 45 dakika ve canli in 1997 again)
in
1997 they released a split 7" with ask it why? band called"kadiköy'den
hareketler"(actions from Kadiköy) from Darbouka recods( an independent
french label),after a long time playin gigs everywhere(like great crowded
and open area Bursa city concert they recorded their new stuff in
1998 with really political lyrics and really melodic and musical high quality
sound(they gave smile to their pop enemies again!!!)and they released a
split tape with ACTIVE MINDS(FRENCH ANARCHO PUNKS)from ripping thrash tape
label...and now there will be a split tape with an another french anarcho
punk band called flagrants d'eli soon.it's the first 5 years of Rashit
which spent very chaotic and funny anyway...
