Listed below are the names of soldiers of Company "A" First Battalion, 188th Airborne Infantry Regiment stationed at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. These soldiers were sent to the Nevada Test Site to participate in nuclear tests on October 12, 1951. These tests were code named "Buster Jangle". There were 7 atomic detonations in this series of tests, some larger than the atomic bombs dropped on Japan in 1945. Some of the detonations broke window panes in Las Vegas 75 miles away. All the names below also guarded the atomic bomb storage facility at Fort Campbell, Kentucky known by soldiers and locals as "The Bird Cage". If you have information or know where these men are now, we would appreciate it if you would contact this Web Site and share your information with us.
