This is a Spielberg film from 1971, and it's the first Spielberg film I've seen that wasn't scored by John Williams. It was pretty good. I enjoyed it. Here's the story:
David Mann is an everyday white collar guy. He's driving along the highway, through the desert, to get to a meeting with some important guy. As he's driving, he passes a big, ugly, greasy semi. Well, the driver of the semi decides to be a jerk, and he passes David, slows down, and hogs the entire road. David, of course, is in a bit of a hurry, and he doesn't have time for all this, so when the opportunity presents itself, he passes Goliath, er, I mean the truck. The truck driver isn't too pleased about this, and the chase begins.
Most of the movie is David trying not to get killed by the truck. It's a pretty simple story, but the direction of it was brilliant. It was classic Spielberg. It was a bit rough around the edges, but it was wade in 1971, so I can excuse it. Like I said, I thought it was pretty good. I'd definitely watch it again.
Ok, so It's a short review.
