Harry Potter is Evil

I read it on the Internet, so it has to be true.
In December of 2000, Reader's Digest ran an article on J. K. Rowling, famed author of the Harry Potter series of books. You can read the article here, if you'd like. The next month, an irate reader wrote in blasting Reader's Digest for publishing the article. Why? Because J. K. Rowling is a Satanist, and Harry Potter is corrupting the minds of children. I'm sure you've all heard this argument before. It's baseless and stupid. The magazine responded, saying that most Christian organizations love Harry Potter and endorse the books. The irate woman wrote back. Evidantly, they hadn't published her entire letter for some reason. Here's what she wrote:


Yes, that's right. She got her information from The Onion, quite possibly the world's most unreliable news source. I can't help but wonder what the editor was originally thinking when he/she read that letter. Ultimately, the editor tried very hard not to sound condescending.
