Monkeybone

It's sort of like a cross between Cool World and The Nightmare Before Christmas. In fact, it was better than Cool World and worse than Nightmare. Kinda right in the middle, I guess.

What happens is this: Brendan Fraser (Encino Man) is a disturbed cartoonist, whose doodled creation, a monkey named Monkeybone (a euphamism) has just gotten famous, and there's all kinds of marketing deals, and Dave Foley (Kids in the Hall) is his manager, and Bridgette Fonda (The Godfather pt. III) is his girlfriend. Brendan Fraser (George of the Jungle) gets in a car wreck and slips into a coma. There's a small attempt at a subplot where his sister, the rich lady from Will & Grace wants to pull the plug. It never really pans out. While Brendan Fraser (Blast from the Past) is in a coma, his soul goes to Coma-ville, or whatever it's called, and Brendan (Dudley Do-Right) meets Monkeybone, former figment of his imagination. Long story short, Monkeybone gets an exit pass and goes back to the land of the living, taking over Brendan Fraser's (The Mummy Returns) body. Well, the real Brendan Fraser (Airheads) is none too keen about having his ne'er-do-well simian companion taking over his body. So, Whoopi Goldberg (The Color Purple) sends Brendan Fraser (Bedazzled) back to the land of the living in Chris Kattan's (Saturday Night Live) body. Chris Kattan (Corky Romano) was a gymnast who'd broken his neck and died in a freak accident. So, now, he has to tell Bridgette Fonda (Army of Darkness) he loves her and save the world from Monkeybone, who plans to give everyone nightmares to power Coma-ville (kinda like the screams in Monsters Inc). There's a big chase, and Monkeybone in Brendan Fraser's (The Mummy) body and Brendan Fraser (Monkeybone) in Chris Kattan's (A Night at the Roxbury) body die and see Whoopi Goldberg (Sister Act). She puts them both back in Brendan Fraser's (Still Breathing) body. Brendan Fraser (Glory Daze) and Bridgette Fonda (Jackie Brown) can live happily ever after.

Oh, and there's a scene where Dave Foley's (Newsradio) face turns purple, and he runs around naked.

Bye bye.
