This prime example of the '93-'97 Pontiac F-body species belongs to my friend Chris. It is a '95 Trans-Am convertible. Silver with a black top and black leather interior and powered by an LT1 350 and 6-speed standard tranny. He picked the car up in Dallas during January of 2001 and just a few short months later it has evolved into the car that you see here.
This is Chris's first ever American V8-powered car, though he is no stranger to fast cars. His first car was an '83 Porsche 944. From there he moved on to an '87 Porsche 944 Turbo. That was still one of the fastest daily-driven cars I've ever seen. After the Turbo, he owned a '91 BMW 525i which my fiancee and I now own. The Bimmer was a nice car, but it just didn't have the speed he craved. He sold it and began searching for speed again. Which brings us to the car you now see here.

One of the first things Chris did was to fabricate his own clear front and rear sidemarker lenses. He did this using plastic sheets made for interior flourescent light fixtures. They came out looking great and just that little touch makes a huge difference in cleaning up the lines of the car.
Another of his little projects was to get any little plastic interior pieces off the car that he could and paint them silver to match the body. That adds a nice touch of color and flair to the driver's compartment.

The car is now rolling on some 18x9.5" chrome 2001 Corvette C5 replica wheels wrapped in 285/35 Kuhmo rubber. To get rid of the excessive fender gap, a set of 1" Eibach springs has been installed to bring the car down to the ground and to help it stick to those windy roads a little better.
The car is quick enough as it is and Chris doesn't have many plans to alter that any, but he has added an SLP CAI and an SLP airfoil to open up the breathing a bit. A Borla catback system may be in the very near future.
