Vegeta comes into the story when he hears about the Dragon Balls. He comes to earth with his partner Nappa who he killed later for failure. Goku was dead at that time. But was being trained by the famous King Kai. Once his training was finished he was wiched back with the Dragon Balls. While Goku was traveling back, Gohan, Krillin, Piccolo, Tien, Choitsu, and Yamcha, were all fighting to save the planet from Vegita and Nappa. When Goku got back, only Gohan and Krillin were left. The rest went into another demension and were training with King Kai also. Later on in the Story, Vegeta helps Gohan and Krillin while gathering the Dragon Balls on the planet Namek. There, the evil Freiza was gathering them too. But instead Freiza just called the Ginyu Force, the most powerful fighters in the galaxy, to come and gather them for him. This is the reason why Vegeta was helping them, he didn't want to die from the Ginyu Force so he helped them to wish them away. Vegeta soon marries Bulma and has a son named Trunks and a Daughter named Bra.
