Rev. James McGehee

was born in 1822 in Tennessee. He lived with his parents until marrying Hannah Ann Meniza Brown. At some point James met the Lord Jesus Christ and was called to be a minister of the Gospel. According to the 1880 Lawrence county Census James was listed as a Methodist preacher.

James' son Thomas D McGehee was the individual who signed James' mothers probate records. In 1870, James and his sons Thomas and Robert were living in Dade county Mo.
