Nancy McGehee was born in Tennessee to James and Jane McGehee in 1808. She married Simeon Pennington and bore six children we are aware of.

Nancy and her husband were in knox county during the Blackhawk war, and they had the following children.

• Martha J Pennington, bn 1830

• Rachel Pennington, bn 1833 in Missouri

• Mavlina Pennington, bn 1835 in Missouri

• James Pennington, bn 1837 in Missouri

• Wiley Pennington, bn 1843 in Missouri

• Phillip Pennington, bn 1845 in Missouri

One curious thing is that Martha Pennington, according to my records was born in North Carolina. Either this is a mistake or for some reason, this Pennington/McGehee family was living in North Carolina in 1830. Very little else is known of Simeon and Nancy McGehee Pennington.
