Ami goes to Juuban (Crossroads) Junior High School with Usagi and Mako.

She is the obvious brains of the group as she is a complete bookworm and spends a great deal of her time studying. She does this so that she can get good marks so she can become a pediatrician.
It's rumored that she has an IQ of 300. She gets along with all of the other scouts and is one of Usagi's best friends and will actually defend Usagi whenever she is being put down.

As a Sailor Senshi, the rest of the scouts count on her to find things out and come up with ideas. She does this with the help of her minicomputer and visor.
She uses them to find out information about the enemy, and detect other things as well.
