Six Goals That Made Him A Top-Scorer

  'The success of our national team will remain as the pearl that our generation created.There have been players,who qualified for the world cup competition,there will be such after us but a place in the fourth and medals will hardly ever be brought to Bulgaria.Now I am happy that I remained in the history of world football,that a Bulgarian became No 1 in the finals.It's a pity,because I had the chance to score one more goal but I missed.
  However all old stories and contradictions are already kicked out of my head.I will once again say a big thanks to my colleagues and friends form the national team.Without them I would have never scored six goals,who made me famous and brought fame to Bulgaria.' Hristo Stoichkov
