Here's
the latest chart I could find that gives a picture of the drugs to
which we have molded our daily routines. Some people can take em, some
cant.. My heart goes out to friends that have had to discontinue some of
these because they just plain couldnt take the side effects, or those who
have a viral strain that has developed a resistance to them. Each comes
with its own unpleasantries.
My current regimen contains Zerit (d4t), Videx,(ddi), Sustiva (far out
man.. check out the colors). Anybody with a low tolerance for pills.. give
it a few weeks.. this drug (Sustiva) will knock you flat, but it has been
very effective for me. I have been fortunate in that side effects have
been limited to some very slight neuropathy (numbing in the extremeties..
but can also be in the mouth), mild hallucinations, and some pretty f*_king
weird dreams. At least my liver hasnt blown up yet.. heehee. And last in this this little mix is not listed here, Hydroxyurea, (Hydrea, Hydrox).. Its and old leukemia drug that works quite well with regimens containing DDI and Zerit. Cheap(er) too.
For more specific info on these drugs, you can find em in TheBody.com or
Aegis.com. Ill kind of look around for the lazy folks (we all get that
way) and put some links in this page directly to these drugs info.
