Celebrating Native American Veterans In November we honor Native Americans and their contribution to our national heritage, and on November 11 we do the same for veterans who gave so much in service to their country. As these two observances overlap, so too do the particular contributions of Native Americans to the defense of our nation. Native American Women Veterans Women In Military Service For America Memorial Foundation is encouraging Native American women veterans to register with the Memorial so that their stories may be recorded and preserved.
