Jesus says, "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdon of God." John 3:3. How does one receive this new birth which makes him right with God and settles his eternal destiny? 1.REALIZE you are a sinner. No one is good enough on their own to go to heaven. One sin is enough to separate a person from God. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 2.REPENT of your sin. To repent means to turn from.."I tell you, Nay: but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Luke 13:3 3.RECEIVE Jesus Christ as your Saviour. Salvation is a free gift; salvation cannot be earned or worked for; it must be accepted. "But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name." 4.RESPOND to God's offer of forgivness by asking Jesus to forgive you and be your Savior. "For whomsoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13 5.CONFESS JESUS PUBLICLY.
