Okay, here's the basic idea. I am seeking a source of entertainment, and I am thinking about running a month-long contest. In this contest, entrants would be asked to create a short film at the D.FILM moviemaker site. (This is easier than it sounds.) I've posted a couple of examples below:

Half A Groove - Plenty of randomness
Escape From Roswell - Based on the TV show Roswell (about 4 years in the future)
A Few Good Numbers - Statistics ate my brain.

Sounds easy enough, right? Well, they have to be humorous. The funniest mini-movie is the one that will win. I will allow site visitors to vote, but I will have the final say.

There would be some other rules. For instance, no plagiarism. Movies based on existing characters from books, movies, television shows, et cetera would be allowed, but it would be risky to attempt this. As my friends will attest to, I live under a rock. Humor that relies on my knowing something about a character or situation will probably backfire because I am generally not aware of most popular books, movies, television shows, et cetera. Also, you must consider the fact that I am also completely oblivious to anything which may be going on in the news. This includes politics, sports, entertainment, and other current events. Anyway, each person would be allowed to enter 2 films. If fewer than 10 individuals enter, no prize would be awarded.

Here's the problem. I don't know what to do about the contest prize. I'm a college student, obviously, so I don't have a lot of extra money. I do have a part-time job, but I don't work very often. My total monthly income is approximately $60. So here are the questions: what is the minimum amount anyone would enter this contest for? Can anyone suggest an alternate prize? Would anyone be willing to donate a dollar to the prize fund? I would appreciate it if everyone would respond in the comment box below.

(Please note that I will only hold this contest if some satisfactory prize can be decided upon. I would also post the submissions on my site for general public viewing. Thanks for your help!)
