Contrary to the title of this journal, I'm not really "suddenly" a senior. I acquired senior standing through a lot of hard work. Those of you who've had the chance to hear me complain know that I took 15 hours over the summer and got five A's. Yep. I hope to duplicate that next summer. So I really am a senior, but I still have at least 4 more semesters to go. It's time for me to start worrying about the GRE, the Psychology GRE, and internships. I'm also thinking about becoming a research assistant and applying to grad schools.
I wonder if they can hear me screaming over in California. I figure that's where I'm going to apply.
So...about my classes this semester:
- Telecommunications will be fairly easy. I like Dr. Musburger.
- Abnormal Psych is going to be time-consuming, but the subject matter will be really interesting. Dr. Babcock seems like a good prof.
- Psych of Human Sexuality will also be pretty easy. I didn't really want to take it, but Prof. Mikalsen seems nice.
- Computer-assisted Video Production is going to be the coolest class this time. It'll also be the most time-consuming; I'm going to be holed up in the computer lab for hours and hours. I like Prof. Hite.
- Film Appreciation is going to be easy. Dr. Hawes is nice but a little dull.
Oh yeah? So everything's gonna be cushy, huh? Coast through the semester? Well, hardly. There's a LOT to do. But this semester is definitely a cinch compared to Spring '02. We shall try not to speak of it again.
So what are my goals this time?
- Make A's in every class.
- Secure an internship/assistantship/second job.
- Study for the GRE.
- Study for the Psych GRE.
- Research more graduate programs in psychology.
- Make effort to keep up with readings.
- Perfect attendance.
- Write in all my journals.
- Have fun.
- Tentative goal: make friends within my majors.
- Tentative goal: join major-related organization.
My head is hurting now. Wish me luck...
I met the Hash Brown Goal long ago--still collecting for it, though. Helen
