Born Feb. 25, 1923, in Gray Ridge to the late Logan Sterling and Emma Matthews Abbott, she had resided in this area most of her life and was a member of the Calvary Temple Church.
On Jan. 29, 1948, in Piggott, Ark., she married J.W. Coke.
Survivors include; one son, Richard Coke of Sikeston; one daughter, Mary Ruth Fitts, of San Angelo, Texas; two sisters, Dorothy Cobb of Gray Ridge and June Knight of Sikeston; and one granddaughter, April Michelle Coke of Poplar Bluff.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday until noon Friday at teh Nunnelee Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Calvary Temple Church with the Rev. T.A. McDonough pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jay Box, John Bartlett, Carl Bogie, Joe Ford, Lynn Ray and Laverne Rettig.
