A native of Kansas, Mr. Messinger had lived here 40 years. Surviving are his mother, Agnes Carpenter of Kansas, two sisters, Leota Whitman of Salt Lake City and Mattie Stanley of Pasadena, and two brothers, Claude Messinger of Nebraska and Edgar Messinger of Iowa.
Final rites will be in the chapel of Frisbie and Warren. Interment will be in Park View Cemetery.
Note: Original obituary was found in the scrapbook of Alma Marie Messinger, wife of Edgar. She wrote beneath it - November 24, 1960. The original obituary also had the Messinger named spelled "Messenger".
