Harry Loyal Wills, third son of Alfred and Emily (Richards) Wills, was born on a farm in London Precinct near Peru on July 31, 1888. He passed away in the Hoover Rest Home on May 27, 1969, at the age of 80 years.
He attended District 66, known as the "Wills School," and then attended school at Peru.
On March 12 1914 he was united in marriage to Clara A. Colerick of Nemaha. To this union two daughters were born.
In early life Mr. Wills was a member of the Methodist Chirch in the Bethel community. In June of 1914 he was baptized in the Christian Church at Peru, of which he was a member for over fifty years. He served on the board, as a trustee, and served as a deacon for many years. He also served on the school board of District 66 for twenty-one years. He was a great lover of horses.
Preceding him in death were his daughter, Gwendolyn; his parents; four brothers, and four sisters.
Mr. Wills leaves to mourn his padding, his wife; a daughter, (Catherine) Mrs. Vernon Melvin of Edgar, Nebraska; two foster sons, Leland Roach of Auburn and Frederick Reichert of Phoenix, Arizona; three granddaughters, Cheryl and Vickie Reichert and Betty Ann Melvin; two grandsons, Dennis and Ricky Roach; and several nieces and nephews.
