She was a member of the Gospel Assembly of Church in Dexter and a former employee of Elder Manufacturing Company in Dexter for 47 years.
Survivors include three brothers, Max Summers, Bill Summers and James Summers, all of Dexter; one sister, Connie Turner of Dexter; nine nephews and one niece; six great-nephews; and two great-nieces.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Alton Jerry Summers, Lonnie Summers and Coy Summers; on half-brother, Robert Pilcher; and one sister, Betty Phillips.
Visitation was held from 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2004, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services were then conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Winfred Wren officiating.
Intenment followed in the Dexter Cemetery.
