Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Swan-Law Funeral Home, 301 N. Cascade Ave., with the Revs. George Moore and Thomas Albaum officiating. Burial will be at Eastonville Cemetery.
Mrs. Whipple was born March 4, 1935, in Salem, Neb., to Edgar and Alma (Curttright) Messinger. She had lived in Colorado Springs since 1968. Mrs. Whipple was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Springs Single Dancers, Single Swingers, Wheelers and Dealers and Rollin' Squares square dancing clubs.
She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia McMullen of Black Forest; a brother, Ira C. Messinger of Colorado Springs; two sisters, Agnes Richardson of Tallahassee, Fla., and Hazel Ringler of Colorado Springs; and a grandchild.
Mrs. Whipple was preceded in death by a grandchild, Jeremy C. McMullen.
