Angeline was born in @ 1812, she served in the Civil War as a U.S. Army Nurse Vol. Her assignment was at 'Adams' General Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. During her assignment she contracted thyphoid fever which left her unable to work and paralyzed in her right hand. Angeline was discharged on July 26, 1863, and returned to her home in Wilmington, IL. In 1892 Mrs. Angeline Weldon began to apply for her pension without success as she was a few days short of having served 6 months. At that time she was living in Media, Kansas.
