Fizban, avatar of Paladine, god of good, comes in the form of a befuddled old mage in mouse gray robes. The old fool has a constant problem remembering his own name and keeping up with his hat. This form of stupidity and senelity hides the power and wisdom of one of the three main gods.

Fizban assisted the heros of the lance during the war with Takhisis's forces. If nothing else his assistance was noteworthy for the fact that he got the kender out of their hair for a little while. Before the gods depart krynn in the 5th age, Fizban comes to say goodbye to his friends and to take Raistlin with him to their new home. He is also the one who grants Raistlin salvation from the tortures of the Dark Queen because of his "sacrifice" that spares the world.

Even with all the power of the heavens at his beck and call the old man uses few actual spells while in the form of the befuddled wizard. Most commonly used are Fireball and Featherfall (which he has the tendency to screw up).
