Dues are necessary for the corps to operate efficiently. Our dues are a fraction on what it cost per member/per day during the summer tour. Members dues will cover all costs during the summer including: food, transportation, housing, instruction, uniform and instrument usage.
Due to the overwhelming costs involved with operating an origanization such as this, membership dues can be the final deciding factor in accepting a member. You must be responsible for keeping dues up to date. There are a variety of ways members can offset their dues, just ask.
All out of town members will be housed in Lubbock during the summer when not on tour. There will be an additional fee of $125 to help make this added corps experience possible.
The following is a breakdown of optional payment plans. These payments can be made at each monthly camp. The first amount is for Local Members and the second amount is for Out of town members.

There is a $75 discount for returning '99 members. ALL members must pay a $75 equipment deposit before anything can be checked out. ALL dues and deposits will be refunded if membership is not accepted. After April 1, 2000, refunded dues are prorated. After May 1, 2000 dues are non-refundable! Members will be required to buy marching shoes not included in this dues amount. Apprx. $25.00 ALL members will be required to participate in one corps fundraiser before the 2000 summer tour. This is in addition to all dues and more information will come at a later time.
The $20.00 camp fee includes breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, lunch and dinner on Saturday and the camp facilities.
Dues sometimes can seem overwhelming, but it is possible to defray your personal costs through the sponsorship program.
Since the Legend Of Texas is a non-profit organization, any donations made are tax deductible. You can seek contributions on your behalf from individuals or businesses.
We will give you a letter and sponsorship forms that you can give to potential sponsors. They will donate whatever amount they wish, and signify you as the memeber they wish to sponsor. That money will go directly into your dues.
