I am looking so hard
trying to find you
not the you that's here before me
but the part of you that lies deep inside me
the part of you that I carry with me
wherever I go
and the memory of what was
as well as what might've been
is only something left to ponder
for why did this ever happen if
nothing good came out of it
but a few happy memories?
I guess the few special moments
make up for the heartache
at times
but all the other memories,
do you really think I've forgotten?
all those lonely nights wondering where you were
and if you even thought of me....
it's these memories that I can't forget
for I've never felt so lonely...
