Thanks to all who auditioned!
You are all very talented! Anything Goes was
a difficult show to cast and many of you were considered
for more than one role before the final decision was
made. Jill had to make some tough decisions to determine
the best use of everyone's talents. If you did not
get cast for a particular role, it doesn't
reflect on your talents or abilities. Remember we are
putting together an ensemble show that is not
based on "stars" but on a group effort. We want
the audience to leave the theatre saying the entire
show was great, rather than just one specific
character. The Director's job is to consider
the "big picture" from the audience's perspective. This
involves pairing certain actors together who compliment
each other in a variety of ways. This
aspect is what makes the casting process a
difficult, yet crucial part of a successful
production. Everyone will have the opportunity to
contribute their talents toward making "Year Nine" a
hit! If you did not get that "dream role" this
year, don't be discouraged...it may happen next year
for you. Don't lose sight of our purpose. Remember, that's
why you pay Jill the big bucks and have given her the
responsibility to put together the "best show possible" for
the Guild. With this in mind, we proudly announce the
