1/4 Scale Hawks' "Time Flies"
Yeager's version of "Time Flies" is a scratch built 1/4 scale replica built from vintage photographs of the original aircraft and Robinson's 1977 3-View published in the July 1978 Model Aviation. Robinson's 3-View can be purchased through Bob Banka's Scale Research. The book "A Legacy of Speed: The Gee Bee Racers" is a good source of vintage photos and facts about "Time Flies" and other Golden Age air racers--Buy "The Gee Bee Racers" through Amazon.com.
This is a photo of Haffke's 1/5 Sport Scale "Time Flies" as published in Model Airplane News (July and August of 1985). Haffke's design, although not large enough for a USRA giant scale racer, can be purchased through AirAge's RCStore.com.
