~~~~~~~~~~~Candle Spell for Strength:
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
*one purple candle-- for psyche/strength
*an athame-- or something to serve as one
*access to rune symbols [i think Broomstick has
those; not sure if
Sacred Flame does or doesn't]
THE SPELL:
1. open your circle, call the corners, do it
however you do it. i opened the circle, but i did not
raise the world hedge as normal
2. call upon your choice of deities
3. carve a pentacle into the candle with the
athame, saying:
"element of fire, give ___ strength
element of earth, give ___ protection
element of water, give ___ completion
element of air, give ___ cleansing
and spirit, give ___ comfort
a pentacle i place on this candle
goddess, give ___ no more than ___
can handle."
4. carve the runes into the candle next:
Wyn/Joy-- to return it to the ___'s life
Isa/Ice-- to freeze the suffering/pain
in the ___'s life
Tyr & Tyr Reversed-- to leave the war
behind and find
peace
Rad/Ride-- to move on
Lagus/Lake-- to return peace to ___'s
life with the
cleansing only water can bring
Peorth/Lot-- for ___'s lot to be kind
5. carve two spirals into the candle.
symbolises a growth outwards and an
ordering of ___'s
energy.
6. lighting the candle, say:
"candle lit and flame burning
with my energies i cease ___'s yearning
dry ___'s tears and as the flame
sputters
spirit of the gods, quench all that in ___
needs be silenced
the fear, the pain, the grief--
still the violence in ___'s soul,
and once again, make ___ whole!"
7. meditate on the flame and see it spreading the
strength
throughout the room, filling the room,
and then see it going into
the person the spell is for.
say these words:
"candle flicker
candle flame
when you sputter
out again
goddess bright
goddess dark
this spell is done
when the flame
is darked."
8. and i always add these two to the end of the spell:
"ain't harm it none, so mote it be."
[the wiccan mantra is the best non-reversal spell you
can put at the end of your spells.]
