MotorPlant

Motorplant makes it difficult to compare their music to other bands, as the overall sound is very much their own. ~Larry Belanger~

Motorplant WON Portland, Maine's Pheonix Magazine for Maine's "Best Local Rock Band".

5/18/00 ~ ANOTHER WIN!!!!!! :o)
Motorplant fans from New England, the Northwest and across the country have rallied to the cause. Through your combined voting action Motorplant has been named Portland, Maine's "Best Local Rock Band" in the WFNX/Phoenix "Best Music Poll 2000". Steve, Eric, Kevin and Andy of Motorplant, their management, their national fan club director, publicity firm and team of dedicated regional fan club coordinators extends their warmest and most sincere thanks for helping the band achieve another important award.
The Phoenix announced that Motorplant dominated the voting, getting more than twice the votes of the next nearest nominee. Motorplant was described as an organizational juggernaut with a huge fan base of dedicated fans. Isn't that something?
The internet gives us power. Can we nurture and grow this living "organizational" machine into an even stronger voice? To all of you who participated in this voting poll THANK YOU! Very Much!

Thank you all for your continued support. ~Motorplant~

NEW ... GOOD NEWS!! Motorplant Song License: We have a song "Broken Heart Disease" on a recently released compilation disc of New England based artists. Here's what's happening. Of course last season we also licensed a song to MTV, "Waterlogged", for use on "Road Rules". That was on Good Citizen Vol. One. MTV wants to use "Good Citizen Radio Hour Volume Two" and all nineteen artists on the compilation during the 2000 season of "Road Rules." A full MASTER RECORDING LICENSE and SYNCHRONIZATION LICENSE have also been sent for the "Good Citizen Radio Hour Volume Two" for a new TV SERIES on ABC-TELEVISION (yep, we said NETWORK TV, folks) premiering on March 24th at 9pm, right after "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire!" The series is probably going to be called "Making the Band" and it is literally about the making of a new boy-band called O-Town. Music on the compilation has been requested for fillers, segueways, liners throughout the show. ~by, Ken Balon~

Heard about this band through the allthingspound YahooClub. Brett, from Idaho, emailed me with info on MotorPlant. I checked out MotorPlant's site ... ordered their cd through amazon.com, "Inside the Walnut". The cd just came in today. They are great!!!! I've already listened to the entire cd 6+ times!! Check out their site listed above for information on the band. They have a GREAT bio section on the members. Very heartwarming!!

As for the cd ... REQUEST IT FROM YOUR MUSIC STORES, buy it on-line ... just GO GET IT!!! This 18 (yep, EIGHTEEN) song record is really rockin'!! "Broken Heart Disease" pulls ya in!!!! So does "Fault Guy"!! Go Kevin & Steve!!! "Get It", "Ovulating", & "Little John" (cool vox) are more of my favs!!
