My own contact with the faeries occured last July at about 4am. I am a bit of an insomniac and was up working on my novel. I had my windows open when all of the sudden in the corner of my eye a flash of light caught my eye. I thought I was seeing things, because it was so late and I was so tired. I wasn't. I watched the window for a while, waiting for the light to return. It did, several more times. It fluttered around my windowsill for a few moments and then would return to wherever it came from. I couldn't see the body exactly, but it had that radiating faerie light, so I know it was one. It was one of the most amazing experiences in my life. Sadly, I have not seen a fey since.
