Hallo friends, I am a supporter for Kashiwa Reysol living in Japan.

As you know, Bulgarian hero, Hrist Stoichkov transferred to Japanese club, Kashiwa Reysol.

He arrived at Kashiwa on July 15 with his family and his agent.

In the next afternoon (on July 16), He attended the press interview at Kashiwa Reysol's office. About this interview, many Japanese newspapers and televisions introduced his comment with favorable mode; "Kashiwa will improve in all its aspects. We will win each games and get victory at last".

He joined the team soon after the press interview and did light exercise such as running. At beginning the exercise, he introduced himself to his new team members and they welcomed him very much.

According to Kashiwa's team staff, Stoichkov is very eager to win championship and already asked him how much goals will be needed for get the title of J-league(Japan 1st league).

His debut game in Japan will be expected on July 29 at the Kashiwa's home game against Vissel Kobe.

On July 18, I had a chance to watch a 45 minutes practice match against Juntendou Univ. soccer team.

In this practice match, Stoichkov played and achieved 1 goal and 1 assist. Behind 1 goal for Japanese U-21 keeper Minami's poor play, Stoichkov's marvelous pass went among Juntendou's defenders and Sakai, who trapped the pass and confronted only the goalkeeper, kicked creative loop shoot over goalkeeper's head into goalmouse. In addition, at the end of match, Stoichkov's cool strike decided to win.

To watch this practice (not official) match, more than 200 soccer fun and several journalists gathered. They sighed in admiration for each Stoichkov's skillful play. In spite of 3 days after joining Kashiwa Reysol, Stoichkov began to control this team. However I feel that more time is required for his new team mate to get accustomed to his play.

At the game against Vissel Kobe on July 29, he showed tremendous talent to us.He made 1 goal and 1 assist for goal. And every his play attracted the people in the Kashiwa studium.

Especially in the first Half, he played fair and perfectly. Moving around the pitch freely, he held ball until his team mete came near the goal, then sent excellent passes to them many times.

At 21 minutes of the second half, he run toward the goal on the right side of the picth, and gave a decisive pass to Bentinho.

Stoichkov was changed for Sakai at 33 min. of 2nd half. But his 78 minutes in his debut match made a great impression to Japanese soccer funs. The fact he showed his very talent, even though so many famous strikers such as Muller(Brasil), Gary Lineker (England), Dragan Stojkovic (Yugoslavia), Julio Salinas (Spain) and so on could not success at their debut games, was our great surprise and pleasure.

Hallo friends.

12 goals per one mach were recorded! This is the new record in J-league since 1993. Nozomu Kato and Hiroaki Morishima scored hat tricks for each side.

On Aug. 8, the last games of the first stage were held. Reysol faced Cerezo Osaka at the Nagai Stadium, one of the venues of world Cup 2002.

In this game, Reysol arranged 3 strikers at the front, and fought more aggressively. Until 40 min. this tactics was succeeded well and Reysol got 3 goals by kato and Bentinho. The first goal (15 min.) was caused by Stoichkov's cross to Bentinho who then supplied a good pass for Kato running into Cerezo's goal area.

At 34 min. Sakai made a good though-pass to Bentinho who pushed it in to the goal. 2 min.later, Kato also pushed the cross from Katanosaka who cut Cerezo's pass.

However while Cerezo much concentrated on their attack from the start in the second half, Reysol's defense adapted themselves to it and a seesaw game was begun.

The today's best goal was generated at 50 min. From the left side, Stoichkov kicked a splendid cross to Bentinho in the penalty area, then Bentinho trapped it and gave a lob to Kato in the goal area quickly, and Kato volleyed it into goal.

Though Stoichkov who marked hard by Cerezo's defender, mainly took a roll of chance-make until 60 min., he showed his talent at 69 min. He collected Kato 's pass and fired sizzling shot into the goal.

At 84 min. Stoichkov succeeded penalty kick goal, then he left the ground for defender Hagimura.

"In my long playing history, it was very rare to record as mach goals as today. But audience would be enjoyed much, I think", commented exhausted Stoichkov.

Hot Stoichkov heated up the whole Reysol

Hello, Friends

I watched very impressive game on Aug. 29. Kashiwa Reysol faced JEF united Ichihara at Kashiwa Studium under rainy weather.

At first, we imagined that Stoichkov, who should participate in the Bulgarian national squad for the preliminary match against Poland on Sept. 5, would save his strength for the national squad. In addition, He had told that he wanted to transfer his experience to younger Reysol's players, but he could not act as Dunga, a captain of Brazilian national squad. He had played cool and reservedly since he joined Reysol.

Though Stoichkov's shot bounced against the cross bar of goal at 4 min., I felt he did not move enough.

However JEF's hard play had been heating up Stoichkov's mind gradually, I supposed. At 37 min. amd 39 min., he suffered rough tackles from JEF's defenders. Especially the latter made him kneeled down to endure his pain.

Though I was disappointment that Bentinho kicked a 20 meters free kick in front of the goal in stead of Stoichkov at 49 min., he tried ever-first 50 meters dribble 2 min. ago. JEF's hard attack was contining at the 2nd half. Each time he fell down on the ground, he shouted angrily.

Nevertheless JEF tried to increase pressure against Reysol's front and dominate the game. At 23 min., Stoichkov tried sliding tackle to JEF's attacker. Since then, he little contributed to the team defense, because he was exempted from defensive work.

His eagerness for the victory that he began to demonstrate with his each play was encouraged Raysol. While JEF become tired with their attack continuing since the beginning of 2nd half, Reysol began to controll the game. Each time Stoichkov shouted, and each time he demonatrated his quest for goal, Reysol increased their power. Burning Stoichkov heat up the whole team.

After Stoichkov's goal was canceled by judge of off-side at 80 min., he threw away both of his back-leg guards. When he got a free kick at 83 min. he took the ball by himself. His grounder free-kick shot changed its course by bounding JEF's player and ran into the opposite side that JEF's goalkeeper expected.

After the game, he invited his two daughters into the ground and went up the interview place with them. He declared hid determination for the victory of J-League again.

We heard his daughters must went back to Spain in order to go to the school in Barcelona in a few days. Stoichkov's life in japan is not well comfartable for him. But he showed us his great talent. Indeed, he is not Brazilian Dunga. He doesn't scold his teammate on the ground. In stead, he showed his passion and it called up all Reysol's courage. I felt a new and great possibility for the team.

Hello, Friends

I am sorry to send my message about the game on Sept. 12. Kashiwa Reysol faced Cerezo Osaka at Kashiwa Studium and achieved the four straits win.

In the 1st half, although Stoichkov's skillful dribble shot at 32 min., both Kashiwa Reysol and Cerezo Osaka were scoreless. However we marveled at Stoichkov's direct and accurate cross to Bentinho, whose shot unfortunately bounded against the cross bar of goal at 43 min.

However, at 48 min., we all remembered Stoichkov's free kick goal at the World cup 94. His firing 25 meter free kick went through Cerezo's players who escaped from his shot involuntarily and stuck into the goal.

After equalized by unlucky goal at 78 min., Stoichkov got free kick again in front of Cerezo's goal. Cerezo thought Stoichkov kick again, but Brazilian striker Bentinho kicked well-controlled shot into the goal after stoichkov pretend to kick by himself. According to Bentino, Stoichkov whispered before kick, "I got a goal, it is your turn". Success of this tricky attack made Cerezo more aggressive. But 89 min. goal by Ohno decide the game.

With this victory, Reysol added 3 point and kept the 2nd place following Urawa Red Diamonds.
