Way, way behind on posting to this!!!
Mood:  rushed
Well, as everyone can see, this is the first post in too damn long!!!

Things have been hectic!! We've finished all the upgrades to the studio, the floor is no longer that nasty brick red and gray!!!! Curtains are on the front windows making it a little more comfy feeling in here, and we've changed the way our waiting area was set up. Instead of a "doctor's office" couch and coffee table, we now have a faux fur rug done in white and purple, and four to five seperate seats. There is also checkers, chess, backgammon, dominoes, cards, and more that will help keep you entertained while you wait! (Yes, the TV is still there too......don't worry......)

Will try and post more later, but it has been SO BUSY here for the past few weeks, and not a lot of time!!!

No news.....good news??
Mood:  lazy
Now Playing: Papa Roach
Not a lot to report this time around, but trying to stay in the habit of putting something in here every week or two.
I went and saw Papa Roach the other night.....for those of you who haven't had the chance to see them live....GO!!! Worth every penny...I promise! I was mean though, left Shanty at the studio working while I went.
It's that time of year again where it's getting harder and harder for either of us to stay in the studio. He keeps telling me (and I don't think he's joking.....) that he wants me to get better at tattoos so that he can "retire". The past week has been hectic, it seems one or the other of us, and in some instances, both of us have something that we have to go do almost every night. We apologize if you've come in on a night when only one of us is here, but want to thank you for being patient and waiting!!
Shanty's looking into starting to do guest spots here and there to break up the monotony, will keep y'all updated when/if that is going to happen!! Dug is really pushing for him to go up the New Hampshire for a week or two at the end of August. There's a possibility of a spot in Kansas in June, and the option of going to New Mexico for about a week is also being explored. We're also looking at getting back into conventions here and there......no promises yet though!

Been a long couple of weeks
Mood:  don't ask
Well, it seems that I'm a few weeks behind in getting our news up and posted on here. Want to apologize for that!
The past few weeks haven't been easy on us! If I wasn't sick, then Shanty was. It was if we just kept passing it back and forth with it getting worse with each pass.
Then there's been the days that he's had to be out of town here and there. I know that a lot of you will only let him touch you when it comes to ink, so we would like to say thanks for the patience here lately!
We are going to start having to make some changes when it comes to appointments. For future reference, we will be charging you $30 to make an appointment to get a tattoo. That $30 will be credited towards the price of your tattoo if you show up or call 24 hours in advance to reschedule. If you call after that, or do not show up, the $30 will not be refunded. We hate to have to do this, but here lately we've had to turn a lot of people away due to scheduled appointments. That's not the bad part, the bad part is when those appointments don't show up, and we are now out the money on them, and have lost business elsewhere also.
The way this will work is: When you call to make an appointment, we will take your credit card info from you. This will be ran to verify it is a good card. $30 will be charged to it at that time. When you come in, we will deduct that $30 from the total cost of the tattoo. If you walk in to make an appointment for later in the week/month, a $30 deposit will be required either in cash or on a credit card.
If you refuse the $30 deposit, your time slot will not be held for you and you will not be guaranteed a time that day. You will be considered a walk-in and be put in the "first come, first served after all appointments" category.
On a slightly different note, I would like to remind everyone that due to the large amounts of hot checks we were getting, we no longer take checks. That means we do not take checks from anyone, at anytime, from anywhere. NO EXCEPTIONS!! We will accept cash and credit/debit cards.

Getting the point across
It seems even though we have it clearly posted on the door, we still have people that choose to try and get us to change our minds on certain things.

So....let me state again, for all to see:

WE WILL NOT TATTOO THOSE UNDER 18 FOR ANY REASON.

TO GET A TATTOO, YOU MUST BE 18 AND HAVE A STATE OR GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID, WITH PICTURE!

WE WILL NOT PIERCE ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 16. THERE ARE SEVERAL REASONS FOR THIS, THE LEAST BEING MATURITY LEVEL. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!

IN ORDER FOR US TO PIERCE YOU, YOU MUST HAVE A STATE ISSUED PICTURE ID. IF YOU ARE UNDER 18, YOUR PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN MUST BE WITH YOU AND ALSO MUST HAVE PICTURE ID. IF YOUR LAST NAMES AND ADDRESSES ON THE IDs DO NOT MATCH, YOU MUST ALSO HAVE A STATE ISSUED BIRTH CERTIFICATE WITH YOU.

We do not care if your mom has told you at the age of 13 that you may get your navel pierced. We WILL NOT DO IT. Body piercings are a not a right, they are a privilege. They involve aftercare that can take up to 45 minutes or more EVERYDAY.

Now, one more small issue. We also seem to be having a lot of people come in with small children. As stated on the door, we do not allow this!! If you are under the age of 12, you are not allowed in here, parents with you or not. This is for safety reasons, etc.

Blah, blah, blah........
Well, it's been one of those weeks around here. We have had the full spectrum of customers come through the doors. From the sweet newlyweds wanting each other's names tattooed (didn't do, won't do it....lol) to the group of 5 women to coming in to make sure that woman #1 will survive her navel being done. Then of course, we have to throw in that one idiot. We answer the phone, and we hear, "Do y'all sell guns?" Us, "Uhmm, no. We're not licensed for that." Idiot, "You mean you can't sell me a tattoo gun?" Us, "Oh, we've never even seen a tattoo gun, so we really can't sell one." Idiot,"C'mon, ya know, a gun to do tattoos with." Us, "They AREN'T GUNS!! We will not help you, we know your type. We won't tell you where to get one either." Idiot,"Well, if they aren't guns, what are they?" Us,"Ok, you're an idiot, I'm hanging up." Phone rings again......Idiot, "Man that was rude." Us, "Well for even calling and asking that you were rude, bye."

As a lot of you can see, the website is slowly changing. Hopefully, in the next month or so that will become even more apparent as I get the time to get it worked on some more! In this area, I hope that all of you will feel welcome to post questions, comments, or suggestions. Be aware however that though they will post when you send them, they may be edited for comment that is not deemed as appropriate. Basically, don't go overboard and treat others on here as you want to be treated, and there won't be a problem!

Updated Info
Hello to all visitors and clients past, present, and future. We've had so much going on lately that I haven't had a lot of time to update the site, but hopefully over the next month or so that will all be changing.
Needing to let everyone know that due to a new landlord on our current building, we will soon be moving the studio to 316 B North Dumas Ave. Talk about work. We never realized just how much we had here until we started looking at if from the perspective of having to pack and move it :(
I hope all of you will have patience with us over the next few weeks as we get it all together again. We are currently still open at the 509 S Dumas Ave location, and hope to only end up with no more than a 3 day shut down between buildings.
Check back here for more news and updates!
