On March 13, 1999, history was made as a man realized his dream through the inaugural show, "Saturday Night Slam", of World Wide Wrestling. The show featured nine wrestlers with, admittedly, little talent, and four matches, as well. However, if it weren't for those nine giving it their all, WWW would have remained a dream.

And, that dream, of course, was that of initial WWW owner Robert The Cruel. Without his ambition and idealist lifestyle, WWW would never have been a reality. Men like Lumberjack, who were told that they were, perhaps, too deranged or meek to wrestle; men like Mangler, who wouldn't have been considered intimidating enough to tell a hound to sit; men like Counterspy who were… well, that's a bad example- but the point remains. World Wide Wrestling became Dallas, Texas' premier backyard wrestling promotion that sponsored talent and strategy over mindless mauling, and made it a gateway to many. WWW became a gateway for the champions. And indeed, the initial show saw Spy reign supreme when the dust cleared, as World Wide Wrestling's first World Heavyweight Champion. All seemed well. WWW had laid itself a foundation capable of being built upon. Soon thereafter, however, WWW took a drastic turn for the worse, as a near fatal blow poked its head out from the shadows in the form of a man known simply as Creation.

The man they called Creation- the low-class, degenerate existence that sleazed his way into success, somehow seized the adolescent promotion from Robert Evans, and made WWW's shaky product collapse. Creation brought in new "talent" (a very loose term) that made the Sailor/ Sergeant Strong feud look like Ric Flair/ Ricky Steamboat. Furthermore, he stripped the World Heavyweight Champion at the time, Thorn, of his title, and placed it around his own ample waist. Things didn't look good, and, realistically, they weren't. The World Heavyweight Championship lost its prestige, WWW lost all credibility, and worst of all- the remaining talent that worked so hard to try and make WWW a success, began to lose their minds. Upon the conclusion of each show, things began to look worse and worse, and the flame that was once hope for the future became a dying blaze. The future looked bleak. Until...

In June of 1999, a man under the name of Assassin, who had made WWW history a few weeks prior by winning The Heavyweight Championship Of The World in his debut, made strides towards rekindling the flame of hope when he defeated Creation and recaptured The Heavyweight Championship Of The World. That act, single-handedly, restored prestige in WWW's most esteemed title, and restored hope in its wrestlers. More importantly, though, a path was tread that would soon be walked by a man in black. That path was one of Creation's defeat, and in August of that same year, former owner Robert The Cruel made his triumphant return- and so did World Wide Wrestling.

Robert The Cruel hastily and easily impeached Creation as WWW's owner, and reinstated his self in the position. He welcomed back effort with open arms and the wrestlers remaining embraced him similarly. A period of prosperity followed- but history showed to repeat itself when, shortly after his return, Robert The Cruel lost his position of power to a man named Baxter Adams. A man who won his control through an oblivious Mangler who just did Adam's bidding- unaware of the negative results that would ensue. Many would go on to claim the Mangler's vision was, perhaps, blurred by his lust for gold, but, either way, RTC was sent packing again.

Actually, Adams, while highly dilusional and bizarre, showed to be a very competent owner who utilized many of the policies that Robert the Cruel enacted when owner and created many more that are still in tact, today. He allowed competition and talent and strategy to reach all-time highs, and introduced many new ways of thinking to World Wide Wrestling. Professionally, he seemed to be just what WWW needed, sadly, though, his character lacked integrity and left much to be desired. Yet, it's hard to object as, from day one of his reign, WWW has flourished through things including the following: the debuts of Plague, Nova, "The Real American" Pace Powers, Evan Idle and Project, among others; the title reigns of Assassin, Lumberjack, Outlaw and Pace Powers that have helped to make title wins and the titles involved so glorious and thankfully, the elimination of the less talented and entertaining wrestlers that once plagued the roster. WWW has now become a place that many often request to be a part of and the breeding ground of champions. WWW has gone on to become, bar none, the best backyard wrestling promotion in existence- a claim it is willing to defend to anyone that might challenge. Many, and most, of WWW's wrestlers are professionally trained and it shows through our unrivaled stroylines, our incredible talent and strategy, and downright uniqueness.

In the future WWW hopes to continue the path that it is currently on- one of success through sanity, one of sacrifice and work for a better product. Moreover, World Wide Wrestling hopes to create a path, so that others may follow, where talent and ingenuity become the focal point. World Wide Wrestling hopes to make people aware that backyard wrestling doesn't have to be the aimless violence and lack of originality that it has been stereotyped to be. Wrestling can be fun. Wrestling can be good. Wrestling can be unique. Wrestling can, and forever will be- worldwide.
