COMPLETE CLEANSING OF SIN

“The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin” (1 John 1:7).

Man conscious of his sin will ask, “Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old? Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?” (Micah 6:6, 7). In their religion they will try anything, and everything. Yet, no matter how serious and sincere they are, nothing, absolutely nothing, will give them peace and assurance that their sins, every last one of them, are forgiven. Not only is this true in ALL of the religions in the world, but sadly, it is also true in much of what is called “Christianity”; for there are many that call themselves “Christian” churches, that can NEVER give the awakened and conscious sinner that they can have a Complete Cleansing Of Sin.

But oh, precious everlasting fountain of forgiveness that will never run dry that flows from the Cross at Calvary! We are assured that “the blood of Jesus Christ (God’s) Son cleanseth us from all sin”; for “though (our) sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18). First, note that it is the Blood that cleanses from all sin…, it is not the waters of baptism; or even “though thou wash thee with nitre, and take thee much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord GOD” (Jeremiah 2:22). But be washed in the Blood, and all your vileness and filthiness is cleansed away forever and ever! But secondly, note that it is the Blood of the Jesus Christ, the Son of God that cleanses from ALL sin! It is the Blood of Him “who knew no sin” (2 Corinthians 5:21), “who did no sin” (1 Peter 2:22), and “in him was no sin” (1 John 3:5); and therefore, His precious Blood has more than sufficient Power to give us a Complete Cleansing Of Sin. Then, thirdly, His Blood “cleanseth us from all sin”. This means that no sin is left out; for every sin, each sin, and the whole of sin is included in this cleansing. You can be assured that at the moment that YOU believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for your salvation, you have a Complete Cleansing Of Sin, and so ALL OF YOUR SINS ARE CLEANSED FROM YOU FOR ALL ETERNITY! HALLELUJAH!

Jesus paid it all, All to him I owe; Sin had left a crimson stain, He wash’d it white as snow.” Nothing But The Blood “What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus;…For my cleansing, this my plea, Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Oh! precious is the flow That makes me white as snow; No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus”. There Is Power In The Blood “Would you be free from the burden of sin? There’s pow’r in the blood,…Come for a cleansing to Calvary’s tide;…Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow?...Sin stains are lost in its lifegiving flow; There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.” The question is: Are You Washed In The Blood? “Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing pow’r? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?...Are you washed in the blood, In the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb? Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?” Truly we can rejoice in the assurance that the Blood of my precious Savior has given me a Complete Cleansing Of Sin! May this be true of YOU today! Amen.
