"MUTANT ROBOT GRANDMAS"
(C. DeCracken)

The seas of them
become an ocean
Entertainment stops
then lauds arise

They crawl around the bars beside
and climb pillars of the arena decline
They took warriors, bands, and kin
Even the strongest succumb to them

They take a side to everyone
Telling stories of when they were young,
during the times of cyborg enhancements
and promise of mutant sensations

Most enjoy the company of them
Enchant themselves as laughs ascend

Snake-like tendrils
with high squeals of steam
Massage the tentacles
of hydraulic feet?
Eight in number,
An arachnid’s dream
Far be it
from me to receive

Fascinate yourself with this kind?
Enjoy them, enjoy your time

What are you doing?
Is this your fun?
I don’t want to taste
bio-mech gelatinous tongue

The vising arms
of your reach
Mechanical arms
with candy force-feed

Inserting data
to your circuitry head
Playing music
of styles long dead

Locomotion, yes it’s real?
Rocket packs in scales concealed
Fascinated by every grandma
They all frolicked for hours along

The crowd aligned is hypnotized
Disco-sized with techno lights
dance-delight, pleasure abides

Fine you guys,
have your way
This is too weird
for me to stay

Cries of laughter
can be heard for miles
In the darkest ones
they brought out the child

Geez, guys!
What’s the big freakin' deal
with mutant robot grandmas!?
