THE SWEET STUFF SYNDICATE

The Sweet Stuff Syndicate is an underground alternative band who write mostly songs about depression, anxiety, and suicide. Fans consider their name to be a great example of irony, but the band had other ideas: when The Sweet Stuff Syndicate was formed, its original lead singer intended for the band to be a pop group who sang mostly about love and forgiveness, but he was tragically killed in a plane crash a week after the band was founded. After his death, the other members sank into despair and began to play depressing alternative songs. The band found Cactus Bastard's "Depression in D Minor" to be one of the best songs about depression ever written (great praise from experts on the subject) and insisted that they play the song for the tribute album. Sweet Stuff Syndicate's other songs include "Death, My Oldest Friend," "Finding Yourself in Darkness Again," and "Cover My Eyes With a Dark Veil."
