The 1st Conflict

This was the very first mission where the Dark Empire was introduced, the spark of the entire five-month campaign. Sitting alone at a New Republic repair and resupply station, the Dark Horizon was taken by surprise by an Imperial Star Destroyer with a compliment of 30 X-wings that had been captured in a neighboring sector and repainted black. The Dark Horizon took evasive action, deploying its fighters in an attempt to cover its escape. All may have been lost if it were not for the timely appearance of Admiral Stryker whose fleet successfully repelled the attack.
