HISTORY WITH THE DARK HORIZON: After the Battle of Endor, Kane and the other remaining members of Special Ops Team 1 were reassigned to become the command crew of the Rebel (now New Republic) Nebulon-B Frigate Dark Horizon. Cyruss and Kane were the two top-ranking members of the team, so Cyruss was made the ship's captain, and Kane, due to his experience as a starfighter pilot with Rogue Squadron, was assigned as the ship's Wing Commander. After a few months on the ship, though, Kane decided to rejoin Rogue Squadron, and left, being replaced in his position by Commander Knight, an accomplished starfighter pilot and Wing Commander.
