Lieutenant Commander Smirnoff has an Official Letter of Reprimand on file effective until star date 11.07.2732, for the striking of a senior officer. Unfortunately, Commander Smirnoff's impeccable service record has been marred by an incident aboard the NRWS Intrepid that resulted in disciplinary action against the said officer. Among other things, this has cost him the chance of being considered as the Chief Engineering Officer aboard the NRWS Freedom II. However, due to his tremendous efforts on behalf of the New Republic, Commander Smirnoff has nevertheless been granted a command position aboard the NRWS Dark Horizon. Undoubtedly, his service will prove valuable aboard the Nebulon-B.
