Although of little importance to the sector as a whole, Daymanar is extremely important to the Rebel Alliance, as it is the base of Rebel operations throughout the sector. Other than the other major Rebel outpost, on Tornin, the base on Daymanar is one of the only extensive Rebel facilities in that segment of the sector.

In itself, Daymanar is a fairly quiet world, off the beaten path, but close enough to the major planets of the sector that it can be of use to the Alliance. There are a few large cities on Daymanar, but the planet itself is somewhat arid and not very hospitable, a place which most Imperial officials would wish to avoid. The Imperial presence on Daymanar is noticeable, but it generally does not encroach upon the Rebels unless something bad happens.
