HISTORY OF ENCOUNTERS:

- The DR9000 was to be the Empire's most efficient killing machine -- designed to look, feel and seem exactly like a real human being, but underneath, truly a robotic death machine. The Empire decided to put their prototype to a worthy test: they gave it the appearance of Daviar Knash, and assigned it to hunt down and destroy every member of Special Ops Team 1. The DeathRun tracked the team down and set out to kill them, leading them into one death-defying chase after another, and eventually managed to kill two members of the team, as well as civilian who tried to help them. SOT1 managed to find the real Knash, who had been imprisoned by the Empire, and free him, and together with Knash, engaged in a final showdown with the DeathRun at an Imperial Experimental Weapons Facility. Utilizing many experimental weapons which they had discovered in the facility, they forced the DeathRun to the defensive and chased it to an abandoned junkyard. During the tense battle, the DR9000 managed to mortally wound Knash, but finally Dreygos and Merrick were able to trap the DeathRun with a giant electromagnet, and Kane was able to destroy it with an ionizing weapon he had found in the Experimental Weapons Facility. The team bid a final farewell to Knash, who asked them to begin a new Special Ops team in his honor.
