HISTORY OF ENCOUNTERS:

- SOT1 first encountered Paladin during their early years in the Rebellion, before they were known as Special Ops Team 1, when he was assigned to help them on a mission to infiltrate an Imperial base. He aided the team in accomplishing their mission, even saving Race's life at one point, and he and the early members of the team became close friends. The next time the team met him was much later, after they had already been classified Special Ops Team 1, and they found that he was the Lieutenant of a Space Marine platoon on the ship to which they had been assigned. They went on several missions with Paladin and his platoon, including a very dangerous mission in which they encountered a new, deadly race of aliens called Xenomorphs, a subsequent battle to take over a pirate corvette, and an encounter with High Inquisitor Tremayne in which Paladin lost an arm saving Kane's life. Shadowlord and Paladin also carried on a friendly competition from time to time, once resulting in the two getting into a knock-down, drag-out fight -- but it was all in fun. The team has tried to keep in contact with Paladin throughout the years, especially Kane, who at one time was the only member of the team still living who knew Paladin, and who (along with Ramierez) has known him the longest.

Lt. Paladin was killed during the expedition to the Galactic core, on the other side of the dimensional portal.
